Scrabblepro getting started guide
Introduction
Would you like to play Scrabble online, classic or duplicate, against the computer, your friends or other players?It may look long, but it takes less than 5 minutes. Experienced users can jump straight to the steps they need.

Step 1: create an account
To play, you first need to create an account. Go to https://www.scrabblepro.com, then click the Quick registration button:
Fill in the form
The registration page opens: fill in the form.
Important: enter a valid email address, otherwise you will not receive the email to activate your account. Activation is required to access the game.
What is the username?
Your username is your identifier in the club: it is the name other players will see. Avoid provocative, rude or insulting usernames: an administrator can disable your account at any time for this reason. Also avoid overly complicated usernames, which your contacts would find hard to look up when they want to write to you.
Once the form is filled in, click the "Submit" button.
An error message appears in red at the top of the form?
No need to worry: the form checks that all the information is entered correctly. Correct what is indicated, then submit again.
Your account is created. All that remains is to activate it, as explained in the next step.
Step 2: activate your account
Open your mailbox.
Within a few minutes of registering, you receive an email from Scrabblepro at the address you entered. Remember to check your junk mail folder too.
Click the link it contains to activate your account.
Well done 👏👏! Your account is activated. All you have to do now is download the Scrabble software, as explained in the next step.
Step 3: download the software
On the account activation page, click the Download the game button to open the download page. You can also reach it through the Download link.
The download starts.
- If a window asks you what to do with the file, choose "RUN" or "OPEN".
- If the file is saved directly, click the scrabbleproB.exe file in your browser's download list. In some browsers, this is an Open link.
What if the download does not start?
Most of the time, downloading the game from another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, etc.) solves the problem.
Otherwise, here are the other possible causes:
- Your antivirus is blocking the download. This is the most common cause: disable it while you download, then enable it again right away. Scrabblepro contains no known virus or malware.
- A pop-up blocker prevents the download from opening in a new window. Check that your browser does not block pop-ups; if it does, allow them for scrabblepro.com.
- You use a download manager: the file was picked up by that software. Look for it there.
Step 4: install the software
When the installation starts, some versions of Windows show a protection message. In this case, click "More info", then "Run anyway".
Note that this is not the language you will play in, only the language of the software's interface and menus.
The installation is complete and the software starts.
You only need to install the software once. Next time, just double-click the Scrabblepro icon on your desktop, or open it from the Start menu.
Important: to play online, the software must connect to the Internet. If your firewall or antivirus shows an alert, allow the connection. You will not see these alerts if you do not use this kind of protection software.
Step 5: sign in
Once the software has started, sign in with the account you created.
I can't sign in, what should I do?
Check your username and password. The Registration and sign-in section of our FAQ, at https://www.scrabblepro.com/faq.php, covers most sign-in problems. You can also contact us to report any problem.
Take some time to explore the software's menus and set up the game the way you like, and invite your friends to join you: Scrabblepro is even better with friends 😉.

Registration
Why do I need to enter my year of birth?
Your year of birth lets us personalize your experience. No player can see it unless you choose to show it on your profile.
Why do I need to enter my email address?
A valid email address lets you recover access to your account if you lose your password, be notified of new private messages and, very rarely, receive news about the site. We do not send advertising and we do not share your address with partners.
What are the terms of use?
They are the rules for using the software and the club, and they remind you of the Scrabblepro netiquette. You must read and accept them.

What is the "I am human" checkbox for?
By ticking it, you confirm that you are not a robot. You may then be shown an anti-robot test: just complete it.
Why do I need to activate my account?
We need to check that your email address is valid and that you are the one who asked to create the account. By clicking the link in the registration email, you confirm your address and your account is activated automatically.
